London Collections Men (LCM) recently ended and sticking to their roots, the Brits showed a great amount of suits and coats, but it wasn’t the monotony of the silhouette that interests me, I have always gone for more challenging collection, collections that mean something and can be called art. Of course, Burberry was beautiful, and one cannot deny that it was an amazing collection. But what I’m interested in is how designers redefine norms through their collection, and help us see the world we can relate to. The following collections did that for me. Dappistan is the first instagram account from Pakistan focused on just mens fashion from across the globe, with a focus on desi menswear and Pakistani men’s street style. The account mainly reposts the images of stylish Pakistani men from not just Pakistan, but settled abroad too, so it adds dimensions to the kind of style one can find in the Pakistani community.
I got a chance to talk to the guy behind Dappistan, Shayan, and he was an amazing person to talk about menswear and style. Here’s our conversation. Continue reading In Conversation With The Man Behind Dappistan
I recently had the chance to visit the Armani Store at M M Alam road in Lahore and I thought it’d be fun to share some images of the store with you guys.
Lets have a peek you guys!
Arsalan Iqbal is one of those designers who take creativity to another level when it comes to creating clothes that speak on their own. But what was so different about the Devolution Chic collection was that it brought together so much creative energy together to create individual looks, that it gave strength to the looks on the whole. Which resulted in creating a strong collection.
As you all know I recently attended the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week. I have a few pics of my outfits I’d love to share with you guys. Let me know what you think. Continue reading What I Wore to PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week
I love going through instagram photographers and I believe our country has a lot of talent. So in order to find myself the kind aesthetic i like, I looked on instagram for a photographer to collaborate with for the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015, and I stumbled upon @LahoreWala‘s profile after hours of research. You have seen my previous collaboration with Fahhad Rajper here, but this time around, Shahroze, the guy behind @LahoreWala had something new to offer to me since I was tagging along with him on the red carpet just shooting instructions at him. He was so patient to have listened to me all along.
So Muhammad Shahroze is actually an Architectural Engineer from UET Lahore and works as an engineer. He pursues photography as a passion and his instagram is amazing. It’s kind of fun to work with him as well as he’s a great listener and gave me the kind of work i wanted. He also dresses very well too, like, he knows what accessories are and he dressed so cool on days 2, 3 and 4. Casual, but edgy.
So here is his work on the ramp for my blog. Don’t forget to leave him love in your comments below Continue reading PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week – By LahoreWala
There was a lot happening on day 4. I was backstage and there was some issue with the people dressing too mundane on day 4 even though it was the finale. I have no idea why they did that.
See day 1 here.
See Day 2 here.
See Day 3 and 4 as follows. Continue reading Style Spottings at PSFW – Day 3 and 4
